Honolulu, Oct 17 -

Congresswoman Mazie K. Hirono (HI-02) announced this week the beginning of Medicare’s period of open enrollment. The more than 200,000 people in Hawaii with Medicare will have until December 7 to change or choose their drug and health plan coverage for next year.

“For nearly half a century, Medicare has improved the lives of seniors across our nation. In Hawaii, we support our kupuna and want to ensure they receive the critical health services they deserve,” said Congresswoman Hirono. “That’s why it’s important to spread the word about Medicare Open Enrollment, a chance for people with Medicare to review their health and prescription drug coverage and make necessary changes.”
