Congressional Internships PDF Print

I am always accepting resumes from students interested in interning in my Washington DC or El Cajon offices.

Interns in the Washington office have an opportunity to learn about the legislative process and the Federal Government by working closely with the legislative staff, attending hearings and briefings, and providing tours of the U.S. Capitol building.

Likewise, interns in the El Cajon office have the opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge about how a Congressional office provides constituent services and interacts with the community.

All internships are unpaid; however, interns can arrange to receive academic credit for their work. General hours for interns are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

If you are interested in an internship in Washington DC, please e-mail or fax (202-225-0235) your cover letter and resume to the attention of the Intern Coordinator.

If you are interested in an internship in my El Cajon office, please e-mail or fax (619-449-2251) your cover letter and resume to the attention of the Intern Coordinator.
