For Immediate Release: Monday, June 22, 2009 Oversight Committees Look Into New Afghanistan and Pakistan Interagency StrategyWashington, DC – Today the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee and the Subcommittee on National Security and Foreign Affairs reconvened its hearing titled: “Afghanistan and Pakistan: Oversight of a New Interagency Strategy.” The purpose of the hearing is to examine the new strategy for Afghanistan and Pakistan announced by President Obama in March, 2009. The hearing will take place at 11:00 a.m. in room 2154 Rayburn House Office Building. Doors open to all credentialed members of the media at 10:00 a.m. The hearing will consist of one panel.
