U.S. Capitol with lush flowers

Sen. Toomey's website is the starting point to all of the services the senator and his staff can offer you: tours, flags, internships, grants, service academy nominations and help with federal agencies.

D.C. Tours: Some Washington institutions - such as the White House - require entrance passes. Some provide tickets on a limited, first-come, first-served basis, while others specify certain entry times. While we cannot guarantee that tickets will always be available, the senator's staff will work to satisfy your request. Please visit this website to request tours several months before your D.C. visit to ensure the best availability.

Capitol Tours: Individuals, families and small groups may receive free, guided tours of the Capitol. In addition, the senator's staff can arrange for a tour of the U.S. Capitol building for large groups of Pennsylvanians.

Gallery Passes: The proceedings of the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives are free and open to the public. Please visit the Washington office (502 Hart Senate Office Building) before your tour to pick up House and Senate gallery passes.

Help With Federal Agencies: Sen. Toomey's staff is available to work with you to resolve problems and delays with most federal agencies. If you need assistance to resolve an issue, please click here or call the Allentown office at (610) 434-1444. Please note: As a federal legislator, Sen. Toomey has no jurisdiction to intervene in state, county or municipal issues.

Flag Requests: American flags that have been flown over the U.S. Capitol are available for purchase for a small fee. Flags can be flown for you to commemorate a specific day and come with a certificate acknowledging the day. Flag requests can take six to eight weeks to process, so please keep that in mind when submitting a flag request through this website.

Internships: Senate internships are available in the senator's Washington and Pennsylvania offices. Internships are unpaid and open to all Pennsylvania college-aged students. An internship provides the opportunity to learn more about Congress, the legislative process and the responsibilities of a U.S. senator. Please click here to apply.

Federal Grants: Discretionary grants are available through various federal agencies, and the senator's website provides helpful information on how and where to apply for grants. Sen. Toomey's grants coordinator, located in the Allentown office, can help you as you explore grants.

Service Academies: Sen. Toomey is honored to be able to recommend bright young men and women to our five U.S. service academies. Applications for students seeking a nomination to a service academy are posted on this website each spring.
