In recent months I have hosted constituent meetings all across our district to give citizens an opportunity to discuss directly the issues foremost on their minds.  While I travel home virtually every weekend and regularly meet with constituents all over Southeastern North Carolina, many working families, parents of small children, and our senior citizens are not always able to participate. Even when my duties require me to be in the nation’s capital, telephone town hall meetings have proven to be a great tool for allowing more folks to be included in these ongoing discussions about the issues affecting them.

Many constituents receive a telephone call from my office that will give them an opportunity to be directly connected to the telephone town hall.  However, any resident throughout North Carolina’s Seventh Congressional District may participate by signing up on my website at www.house.gov/mcintyre or by calling toll free to 1-877-229-8493 and using the PIN code 15612.  The telephone town hall lasts approximately one hour, and participants are welcome to stay on the line and listen for as long as their time permits.  Specific instructions will be given to callers who would like to ask a question, and we do our best to take as many questions as possible.

There are many important issues facing our nation, including Social Security and Medicare.   Listening the views of those throughout Southeastern North Carolina enables me to best represent the Seventh District, and I hope you will join me as we discuss these and other topics of importance.
