Honoring U.S. Veteran Jerry Grove

Sen. Franken had the honor of presenting Jerry Grove with 10 medals he received for his service in World War 2 and Korean.
Many of Mr. Grove's records were destroyed in a fire in the 1970s, which prevented him from receiving his medals. Mr. Grove's friends and family were present for the ceremony in Sen. Franken's St. Paul office. Sen. Franken also surprised Mr. Grove by presenting him with a flag that was flown over the U.S. Capitol in his honor.
Sen. Franken said that Mr. Grove was "truly exemplary of a generation that saved the world and built America."
