Rep Honda on Unemployment Numbers |
“Today's labor numbers are a real victory for the American people. We haven't won the war on unemployment, but we've reached a significant milestone. Private sector payrolls have steadily grown, and we've finally reached the lowest unemployment levels since President Obama took office. The decisions that face Congress during the lame duck will be critical in either continuing this progress or taking us backward. The fate of a multitrillion dollar fiscal cliff will determine the economic future of this country. There are tough decisions and hard negotiations ahead. President Obama and Democrats in Congress are prepared to fight for proven solutions right from the Clinton playbook that grow the economy from the middle out.” |
