IRS and Treasury want comments on employer provisions in new health care law

Wednesday, May 04, 2011

The Congressman hopes NE Ohio employers will weigh in on certain employer provisions in the new health care law that start in 2014.  The provisions may result in fines for businesses that provide coverage to their employees as well as to those who don't.

IRS and Treasury yesterday announced they will accept public comments on the provision regarding a "shared-responsibility" provision in the new health care law that applies to employers with 50 or more full-time employees.   The deadline to submit comments is June 17.
