25 school districts in OH-14 graded excellent or better

U.S. Rep. Steven C. LaTourette (R-Bainbridge Township)
today offered congratulations to four 14th District school
systems rated "Excellent with Distinction" -- Chagrin Falls,
Mayfield and Orange in Cuyahoga County, and Joseph Badger
Local Schools in Kinsman (Trumbull County).
In total, 86 public school district statewide were graded
"Excellent with Distinction" in report cards from the Ohio
Department of Education.
"Great schools are engines for economic development, and help
greatly in attracting businesses and maintaining home
values," LaTourette said. "In all seven counties in my
district, we have schools rated excellent or better which makes the
14th District a wonderful place to live, work, and raise
families."
LaTourette also offered praise to 21 school systems in his
district that received an Excellent rating: Kirtland,
Madison, Mentor, Perry, Riverside, Wickliffe, Willoughby-Eastlake,
Berkshire, Cardinal, Chardon, Kenston, Ledgemont, Newbury, West
Geauga, Buckeye Local, Solon, Cuyahoga Falls, Hudson, Stow-Munroe
Falls, Aurora and Bloomfield-Mesopotamia. A total of
267 districts statewide were graded as excellent.
Other schools in the 14th District were rated effective or
continuous improvement, and no school districts are under academic
watch.
