The Fifth District has a rich and deep tradition in farming and ranching. From tobacco to poultry, from soybeans to grapes, the Fifth District farmers and ranchers produce the best agricultural products in the nation and in the world. Our farmers and ranchers continue to be good stewards of the land while constantly maximizing their harvests and production with new and innovative techniques.

North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services The North Carolina Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services disseminates an extensive amount of information that helps farmers with production decisions, sales and increased income. The NCDA&CS also provides services to increase demand of North Carolina products through awareness efforts worldwide, manages research farms, distribute all USDA food to recipient agencies, and manages the state fair.
North Carolina Farm Bureau North Carolina Farm Bureau Federation, Inc. is a private, non-profit, grassroots organization that has been actively promoting farm and rural issues since 1936 through governmental relations, marketing, field representation, agricultural education, member services and other programs.
