“So far the only thing the president has said on savings is to propose his budget again, which didn’t get a single vote in the United States Senate or even a single vote even in his own party, in the United States House of Representatives.

“So we are waiting. We put $800 billion dollars in new revenue on the table that we propose to get through tax reform and ultimately through growth in our economy, and there’s a way to move forward. But what we need now is the White House to step forward, to substantively engage leaders in Congress and to lead us away from this fiscal cliff.”
