Washington, DC – Today, U.S. Rep. Ed Perlmutter (CO-07) is proud to announce the staff for his Economic Recovery Team. The team will help constituents, small business, local governments and schools maximize the benefits of H.R. 1, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The Team will work with federal, state and local entities to ensure the investment dollars provided in the recovery act are being spent wisely and getting to the people who need them the most. The team will be available to handle inquiries from the public about how to access the benefits available from the recovery act.

Chris Votoupal, the Deputy Press Secretary, will be the Economic Recovery Team Coordinator based in the Lakewood District Office. Additionally, Melanie Keene – Director of District Relations and Jose Rodriguez – Legislative Assistant will join the team as Economic Recovery Liaisons.

“In order to ensure appropriate accountability and access to the benefits available through the Recovery Act in the 7th Congressional District, I am launching my Economic Recovery Team. These key staff members bring a broad range of experience to the table. I have no doubt the constituents, small businesses, schools and research institutions in my district will benefit from the stimulus investments available from this important legislation. This team will help ensure the entrepreneurial spirit, particularly in the green business field, will receive every opportunity to succeed under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act,” stated Perlmutter.
# Chris Votoupal – Deputy Press Secretary, based in the District Office– will focus on renewable energy and energy efficiency business and research development and tax provisions.
# Melanie Keene – Director of District Relations, based in the District Office – will specialize in grants, housing and transportation.
# Jose Rodriguez – Legislative Assistant, based in the DC Office – will focus on small business and education.
