WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-5) announced the names of fifteen Fifth District students who have received appointment offers to attend one of four U.S. Service Academies for the next school year. Today, Congressman Hoyer held a reception for the students and their families at the Library of Congress in Washington, DC.
“Today is a very proud day for our students, their families, and our community,” stated Congressman Hoyer. “I am honored to recognize these outstanding students and I thank them for choosing to serve our nation. Each of these individuals have an incredibly bright future ahead, and I have great faith that they will make our nation stronger. Congratulations to them and their families, and I wish them the best of luck as they begin their course of study and the careers that will follow.”
