Boston, MA – U.S. Senator Scott Brown (R-MA) released the following statement after spending the day surveying firsthand the damage inflicted by Hurricane Sandy in Massachusetts:

"I want to commend President Obama, Governor Patrick and all the local officials and community leaders for their effective response to Hurricane Sandy. I remain concerned about the number of people who have lost power due to the storm but, thankfully, I feel that we have avoided the type of serious damage we are witnessing in other states. The biggest issue going forward is making sure utility companies get electricity restored to all their Massachusetts customers, and I will continue to monitor that situation closely."
