Throughout his career in public service, Senator Cochran has kept at the forefront Mississippi’s quest to expand its job-creating potential and economic base.  Senator Cochran welcomes opportunities to work with local, state and federal officials to make Mississippi a better place to work and raise families.

Senator Cochran advocates federal policies to improve infrastructure and to create an environment more conducive to job growth.  The Senator believes spin-off and supporting job opportunities are available to Mississippi which is home to such major facilities as the Stennis Space Center.  He has supported job training initiatives to better prepare Mississippians for employment in an increasingly competitive and changing marketplace.  The Senator also supports efforts to ease those federal regulatory burdens that can inhibit growth among industries and small businesses.
