Internships

Internships are available in Washington, D.C., and Northeastern Pennsylvania district offices for college students interested in learning about the operations of a congressional office.

In addition to general office support, interns assist staff with constituent services and light research. Interns serving in the Washington, D.C., office also give Capitol tours and are encouraged to attend hearings, lectures, and seminars available in Congress and around “The Hill.”

Anyone over the age of 18 can apply to be an intern. Internships do not have a set start and end date; rather, they can be tailored to fit the schedule of an individual student.

To apply, an interested student should send a resume and a cover letter to Rep. Barletta’s office.

Those interested in applying for an internship in an 11th Congressional District office should contact our Hazleton District Office; those interested in applying for an internship in the Washington, D.C., office should contact our Washington, D.C., office.
