Altmire Hosts Telephone Town Hall With 8,000 Western Pennsylvanians
January 17, 2012
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Congressman Jason Altmire (PA-04) held a telephone town hall tonight as the U.S. House of Representatives began the second session of the 112th Congress. More than 8,000 western Pennsylvanians participated in the live event that covered issues ranging from improving the economy, immigration and fiscal responsibility.
"As Congress begins a new session, we have an opportunity to move past the gridlock that has plagued Washington and work in a bipartisan way to complete the work of the American people," Congressman Altmire said. "Tonight, the most important thing I heard from western Pennsylvanians was that they're tired of the bickering. As we get back to work, I look forward to working with all of my colleagues in the House to enact meaningful reforms to get this country back on the road to prosperity."
