WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Congressman Jason Altmire (PA-04), in conjunction with State House Democratic Leader Frank Dermody (D-Oakmont), will host three seminars to educate senior citizens on ways to prevent identity theft and other cases of consumer fraud. Officials from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Pittsburgh Postal Inspection Service will be on hand to provide information on ways to identify and avoid fraudulent offers and identity theft, particularly those targeting senior citizens.
No pre-registration for these events is required, and seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis. For more information, those wishing to attend the seminars may contact Congressman Altmire's Natrona Heights office at (724) 226-1304.
Note: Congressman Altmire and House Democratic Leader Dermody will not be in attendance.
