Altmire Holding Grants Workshops to Help Local Non-Profits PDF Print E-mail

July 22, 2009

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) -- Starting Saturday, July 25, U.S. Congressman Jason Altmire (PA-04) will hold three different workshops to provide local non-profits with helpful information about how they can secure funding during this weak economy. In recent months, many non-profits throughout western Pennsylvania have struggled to make ends meet amidst increased demand and declining revenues.

“Everyday, local non-profits provide invaluable services to western Pennsylvania families,” Altmire said. “Unfortunately, because of the current recession, many non-profits are now struggling to raise funds to help meet local families’ needs. I hope that these workshops will provide local non-profits with tools they can use to raise revenue that will help them serve our communities.”

All three workshops are free of charge. To R.S.V.P., interested participants can call Congressman Altmire’s office at 724-378-0928 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
