Congressmen to discuss cooperative efforts to move region forward, respond to constituents

(Pittsburgh, PA) -- U.S. Congressmen Jason Altmire (PA-04) and Tim Murphy (PA-18) today announced they will hold two joint town hall meetings next week. The first town hall will take place in the 18th Congressional District at the Monroeville Municipal Building on July 1. A second town hall will be held in the 4th Congressional District at Penn State Beaver on July 2.

The Congressmen are holding these constituent forums to discuss shared efforts to advance local community and economic development, ensure our veterans have quality health care, make America more energy independent, and make health insurance more available and affordable. Congressmen Altmire and Murphy will also respond to constituents’ questions and concerns about current issues.

“Congressman Murphy and I have worked together to advance western Pennsylvania’s priorities, including community development, veterans, health care, and energy. These town halls represent an opportunity for our constituents to learn about our efforts on behalf of the region and how we can work together to move our country forward,”
Altmire said. “I look forward to talking to constituents and hearing their views on what issues they want us to tackle in the future.”

Congressman Murphy added, “Public service equals customer service. As Congressmen representing the Pittsburgh region, we place great weight in reporting back to the people we work for and listening to their concerns and ideas. I urge all residents interested in talking with me and Congressman Altmire to join us at either the Monroeville or Monaca town hall meeting.”
