McCarthy Statement on November Jobs Report PDF Print E-mail

Washington D.C. – Congressman Kevin McCarthy released the following statement regarding this morning's employment report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics:

"Anytime jobs are added to the economy it is welcome news. However, there is still much work to be done to get Americans back to work. House Republicans have been focused on removing the uncertainty facing our economy that has been fueled by Washington Democrats' overregulation and their demands for trillions of dollars in new taxes. This morning's unemployment rate underscores the need for the President to put a priority on addressing the country's sustained high unemployment instead of his re-election campaign. By the close of business today, the House will have sent more than twenty bipartisan jobs bills to the Senate that Leader Reid continues to block. It's time for Senate Democrats to take these bills up so we can get the 14 million Americans that are unemployed back to work."
