"If the Democrats' role for the last couple years has been not be able to make a decision, we're just going to make it a little easier on them, and do what the American people want – Grow the jobs, cut the government, and they can sit there and do nothing while they try to find out who their Leader is."

TRANSCRIPT:

Well just coming off the last week in my district, one thing was always interesting. When people would ask the question, I said that we first have to realize why we're here. When the Democrats were in the majority, they never passed a budget. After the election they funded the government just to March 4th. Republicans had a new majority in the House, so what did they do? They did something totally different – they opened up the floor and let people offer amendments. They let everyone debate for 90 hours, they produced a bill and sent it over to the Senate. What happened then? The President called, after the movement was already going, he said he wanted to get involved and sent the Vice President down. So we had one day of talks and the Vice President left the country. So two weeks came to fruition, Republicans said that we're serious about this, so we'll cut even further and give you three more weeks. The Senate continues not to act, and I even question who is leading  the Senate. Is it Senator Reid, or is it De Facto Leader Schumer? Schumer is not sure if he's hung up his hat at the political shop, after listening to his call yesterday.  The American people want more. They want to see a government that shrinks, they want to see jobs that grow. That's what Republicans are serious about. You just heard our Leader talk about a bill that we're going to move this week that shows that we are united, that we're serious and will also give the Democrats in the Senate one more option. If they believe they cannot find the ability to not pass anything then we say that government can continue on, but this time H.R. 1 passes  with them not acting. So if the Democrats' role for the last couple years has been not be able to make a decision, we're just going to make it a little easier on them  and do what the American people want – Grow the jobs, cut the government, and they can sit there and do nothing while they try to find out who their leader is.
