Rep. Kissell Discusses Made in America Textiles in Asheboro

ASHEBORO, NC – Rep. Larry Kissell (NC-08) visited Fox Apparel’s Asheboro facility this week, where he was joined by President Wallace Thompson for a tour the plant and to speak with employees about the importance of making things entirely in America.

Fox Apparel is a sister company to Texas Jeans and specializes in 100-percent Made in the USA garments for the U.S. Army and wild land firefighting uniforms.

“One of the most common sense ways to jumpstart our economy is to keep jobs here in America and do everything we can to create more,” said Kissell. “Fox Apparel is what a true American textiles company should look like, 100-percent made in the USA. I worked in textiles for more than two and a half decades and I have seen firsthand the negative effects of sending our jobs overseas. That’s why I’m committed to bringing our businesses back home to hire the hard working American people. I greatly enjoyed touring their plant, it’s always nice to get back to the factory floor and I thank them for hosting me.”

Thompson thanked Kissell for his visit and for his strong support of American textiles and manufacturers.

“To have Congressman Kissell come see us during as busy a time as a campaign shows how much he cares for American workers and that was what impressed us all so much,” said Thompson. “He has done a lot to help the textile industry and is one of the few up there that understands what’s going on. He’s been there and he’s seen it. It was great to have him come out here and see how much he cares for the American people.”
