U.S. Congressman John Barrow (GA-12) today congratulated four students from the 12^th District for having been appointed to the nation’s military academies for the class of 2015. Each student received a nomination from Congressman Barrow.

“I’m very proud to have nominated these outstanding students to serve in our nation’s military academies,” said Congressman Barrow. “These young people have demonstrated excellence in academics and outstanding character. Their families and their communities should be proud of them, and I wish them continued success in their service to our country.”

Below is the list of appointees from Georgia’s 12^th Congressional District:

US Air Force Academy

Christopher Michael Brown, Sparta, GA. Christopher is a 2011 graduate of Georgia Military College Prep School. His parents are Mr. Gregory Brown and Mrs. Linda Brown.

Courtney Anne Beck, Guyton, GA. Courtney is a 2011 graduate of South Effingham High School. Her parents are Mr. Anthony Joseph Beck and Mrs. Laurie Ann Beck.

US Naval Academy

Arthur Cleveland Small, Savannah, GA. Arthur is a 2011 graduate of Savannah Arts Academy. His parents are Mr. Arthur Alvin and Mrs. Paz Small.

US Military Academy at West Point

 Brandon Proctor Walker, Statesboro, GA. Brandon is a 2011 graduate of Bulloch Academy in Statesboro. His parents are Mr. Lindsay Walker and Mrs. Devra Walker.
