Barrow Gets Georgians What The Federal Government Owes |
Casework returns over $3 million to 12th District citizens since 2009 alone
Washington, D.C. – Congressman John Barrow (GA-12) announced today that his office has put more than $3.3 million into the bank accounts of families and individuals in Georgia’s 12th District in the last year and a half alone. That money includes money that the government owed Georgia businesses, seniors, and veterans, or that it was wrongfully trying to take away. “Getting folks what they’re entitled to is the most satisfying work we do,” said Barrow. “We’re not talking about windfalls. We’re talking about money that’s owed to families, individuals, and businesses from federal agencies. I’m proud of the hard work of my staff, which is how we cut through the red tape that’s keeping folks from their money.” Barrow has district offices in Savannah, Augusta, Vidalia, Milledgeville, and Sandersville. He holds office hours every month in all 22 counties he represents. Constituents who think they are owed money by the federal government, or who have any other concerns, can call 1-866-890-6236, or stop by any of the following locations during business or scheduled hours: Chatham County 450 Mall Boulevard, Suite A, Savannah Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Richmond County 925 Laney Walker Boulevard, Suite 300, Augusta Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Toombs County Vidalia Community Center, 107 Old Airport Road, Suite A, Vidalia Every Wednesday and Thursday, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
