Louisville native begins internship with Congressman John Barrow PDF Print

Washington, DC - Luke Moses, a native of Louisville, Georgia and a recent graduate of Jefferson County High School, this week accepted an internship in the office of 12th District Congressman John Barrow (D-GA).  Luke becomes the first intern Barrow's office has hired since the Congressman took office early last month.

"We're excited to have Luke come on board," Barrow said.  "It's good to have a friendly face from back home in the District intern with our office up here in Washington.  This opportunity will give Luke a first hand chance to observe the day-to-day operations of our nation's Congress."

Luke is currently half-way through his sophomore year at George Washington University in Washington, DC.  He is persuing a bachelor's degree in Psychology and hopes to attend law school after finishing his undergraduate studies.  Luke's father, Mickey Moses, is an attorney in Louisville and his mother, Cyndi, is a physical therapist in Sandersville.

"It's a great opportunity to work for Congressman Barrow," Moses said.  "There are a lot of internship opportunities in Washington, but working for Georgia's 12th District Congressman offers a unique chance to help out on some of the issues and challenges facing my home state, specifically the region where I grew up."

Congressman Barrow's office is continually accepting applications for internships in Washington, DC and in his local district offices.  For more information, contact the office at 202-225-2823.
