Washington, DC - 12^th District Georgia Congressman John Barrow today issued the following statement mourning the death of civil rights leader Coretta Scott King: 

"Today, our country has lost a strong and courageous leader in the fight for civil rights, equality, and justice for all Americans.  Both at his side and long after his death, Coretta Scott King fought to keep her husband's dream and legacy alive.  Her work on behalf of all Americans has left a lasting and positive impact on our nation and our way of life.  My thoughts and prayers go out to the King family.
