Congressman Barrow Announces Upcoming Hospital Health Care Tour |
Starting on Monday, February 19, Georgia Congressman John Barrow (D-Savannah) will kick off a four-day tour of ten area hospitals that play a vital role in serving the medical needs of Georgia's 12th Congressional District, with stops in Savannah, Statesboro, Claxton, Vidalia, Millen, Swainsboro, Sandersville, Milledgeville, Louisville, and Augusta. "In an emergency, a good hospital can make the difference," Barrow said. "Many of our hospitals are struggling with limited funding, rising costs, and the strain of caring for millions of uninsured Americans. This tour is a way for me to hear first hand from our hospital administrators, doctors, and nurses -- listening to their concerns so that I can take their advice back to Congress." Barrow's tour will start at St. Joseph's/Candler in Savannah on Monday, February 19, and end at Medical College of Georgia on Thursday, February 22. Press is invited to join Barrow for any stop on the tour. ***TOUR SCHEDULE*** Monday, February 19, 2007: Savannah 3:30 PM
