General Information

Senator Ron Johnson's Internship Program offers Wisconsin students a unique opportunity to learn how Congress works while living in our nation's capital. Each summer Senator Johnson's office has two six week sessions as well as full semester internships in both the spring and the fall. Intern activities include legislative research and writing, assisting with administrative duties, answering constituent mail, assisting the press office with daily tasks and helping answer phones and greet constituents. Interns may also attend committee hearings, conduct Capitol tours and attend the Senate intern lecture series. At the end of their time in DC each of our interns will have had the opportunity to see the daily workings of a Senate office and will better understand the inner workings of the United States government.
