Economy

As our economy faces unprecedented economic challenges, it is crucial that we move cautiously toward a bipartisan solution to stabilize America’s financial system.  Americans rightly expect the Congress and the Administration to take great care when risking taxpayer dollars. At the end of the day, we’ve got to make sure that if the federal government is going to spend $700 billion dollars of taxpayer money, then it better be the right plan – it must restore public confidence in both government and the economy, and be well collateralized as a ‘recourse loan.’
