In anticipation of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band's debut at the Prudential Center, U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ) held a news conference today within footsteps of the venue to announce new legislation to protect concert-goers who buy tickets online. Appearing with Congressman Pascrell are New Jersey residents who have experienced difficult purchasing concert tickets online at face value.

U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ) welcomed Italy's Prime Minister Mario Monti and other Italian government dignitaries to Capitol Hill for a roundtable discussion. Among the topics discussed were the state of Italian-American relations and the role of Italy in the revitalization of Europe's economy.

and the Transportation Communications Union.

U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ-8) today joined U.S. Sen. Robert Menendez (D-NJ) at the Jackie Evans/Susana Monaco, Inc. plant to emphasize the importance of the federal "Made in America" initiative. In 2010, Rep. Pascrell fought to keep Girl Scout uniform manufacturing jobs at the plant from being outsourced to a firm in China.

Hours before leaving for Capitol Hill, U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ-8) visited the Passaic County Workforce Development Center to speak with job seekers and reiterate the message that no Congress members should return home without extending unemployment insurance (UI) benefits and this year's payroll tax cut.As Congress resumes it business this week, a number of provisions benefitting job seekers and the middle class, including unemployment insurance, are due to expire by the end of the month. Failure to extend UI benefits would affect 60,000 people statewide by the end of January, and up to 100,000 people by the middle of 2012.
