Intern for Congressman Lewis

Every year Congressman Lewis welcomes a select few college students from his district to assist him with work in the District or Washington Office.  These internships provide a unique perspective into the workings of the federal government, the legislative process, and what it means to be a public servant.

Congressman Lewis is committed to providing a fulfilling educational experience for all interns. Duties can include handling mail, greeting guests ranging from constituents to cabinet secretaries, answering phones, assisting in constituent service, research and attending congressional hearings.

Beyond being immersed in the political process, Congressional internships can often lead to outstanding job opportunities after college.  Former Lewis interns have gone on to a wide range of successful careers including Congressional staff,  White House staff, corporate consultants, and educators.
