Democrats today filed a discharge petition which would require a straightforward, up-or-down vote on a bill to extend current middle class tax cuts for every single family. Republicans have blocked the bill, insisting that special tax cuts for America’s richest 2 percent be included.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported the United States economy added 184,000 private-sector jobs in October.
George continues his work to make college more affordable and to overhaul the No Child Left Behind Act so that every child access to a world-class education.
George’s top priority is strengthening the middle class and supporting people who work for a living. He believes that America’s economy is only as strong as its middle class is strong and greater efforts are need to “Make it in America” and rebuild middle class families.
