Since the GOP/Teaparties are so bent on not allowing Susan Rice to be Secretary of State because they want John Kerry (so his seat opens up for Wall Street, Scott Brown) the perfect person for this position is 'William Jefferson Clinton'!!! Also, because they would also like John Kerry in the position of Secretary of Defense, I would suggest 'Colin Powell'.(he knows the job)

    • Why do you support cuts to Medicare/caid and Social Security? I know you make enough to not NEED these services, but plenty of people I know do need them as supplementary (and in one case, primary) income? Old people and injured people did not create this deficit so why are you forcing them to pay for it; and future generations of old people and injured people?

  3. I was honored to participate in an event last night honoring veterans, highlighting the Veterans History Project to help preserve the experiences of our service members, and screening the powerful documentary, Honor Flight, which follows four Wisconsin WWII veterans on their journey to DC to visit the memorials built in their honor. Thank you to all those who have served this great country.

  5. Today, HHS released data showing that 5.8 million seniors have saved $5.1 billion on prescription drugs as a result of the Affordable Care Act. In 2012 alone, over 40,000 Wisconsinites in the “donut hole” have saved an average of $704. Like or share this post if you agree that the Affordable Care Act is working for Wisconsin.
  6. As the recently selected Chair of the New Democrat Coalition, I'm honored to work with a group of my colleagues who are dedicated to creating jobs and getting our economy back on track. We have an opportunity now to find ways to work across the aisle and bring our country back together again - the New Democrat Coalition can play a critical role in achieving that.
  7. Wisconsin exported a record $2.85 billion worth of agricultural products in 2011, up 18% over 2010. Clearly, exporting creates economic opportunity for our producers. Today,Tim Walz and I sent a letter asking Ambassador Kirk and Sec. Vilsack to prevent Russia from using discriminatory trade practices against our producers. Share this post if you think our dairy farmers deserve this growth opportunity. http://www.kind.house.gov/latest-news/kind-walz-push-to-expand-dairy-exports-to-russia-end-russias-discriminatory-trade-practices-against-american-dairy-products/

  9. Governor Walker put partisan politics before people today. Instead of allowing Wisconsin to run its own health insurance exchange, make key health care decisions for Wisconsinites, and better meet the needs of families and businesses here a...
t home, he punted that responsibility to Washington. We must find a way to rise above the politics, work together, and provide access to quality, affordable coverage for the people of Wisconsin. http://www.wispolitics.com/index.iml?Article=284512

  10. Congress clearly has a lot to do before the end of the year. Now is the time to compromise and reach a long-term budget agreement, not kick the can further down the road.
