(Washington, DC) Congresswoman Brown made the following statement regarding Blue-Cross Blue Shields’ subsidiary Diversified Service Options bringing 200 jobs to Jacksonville:
“This is great news for the city of Jacksonville! I am absolutely thrilled with the news announced today that a Florida Blue Cross Blue Shield subsidiary, Diversified Service Options, will be bringing 200 jobs to the city of Jacksonville!” The new positions relate to the managing of a Medicare administrative contract that covers Texas and six other states.
“On Monday, May 21st, I will be hosting a job fair at the Prime Osborn Convention Center that will feature over 150 businesses. Blue Cross Blue Shield, who will be occupying a booth, will now have an additional 200 jobs to offer job fair attendees. This year’s job fair will be my office’s (in conjunction with the City of Jacksonville, Jacksonville Transportation Authority, Jacksonville Port Authority, Jacksonville Electric Authority, and Jacksonville Aviation Agency) 20th annual job and resource fair, and will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. I want to thank Blue Cross Blue Shield again for their participation and dedication to the city of Jacksonville, and strongly encourage all area job seekers to attend this year’s job fair. I am certain that it will provide a great opportunity for those seeking work to network and speak directly with prospective employers,” said Congresswoman Brown.
Other participating businesses and agencies include:
WorkSource Florida, Jacksonville Urban League, Good Will, as well as more than 150 companies and agencies who have already confirmed their participation this year…
