(Washington, DC) Congresswoman Corrine Brown, along with Orlando area businesses, education and elected officials, will host a job fair from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday, June 27 at the Amway Center, 400 West Church Street, in downtown Orlando.
This year’s Orlando job fair is being held in conjunction with Mayor Buddy Dyer and the City of Orlando. Various local organizations will also be on hand to provide workshops and training on interview techniques, resume preparation, how to dress for success and the best ways to improve job search skills through networking. There will be over 75 businesses on site, some of which include: The Peabody Orlando, Suntrust Bank, Universal Orlando, Humana, Inc., the Orlando VA Medical Center, the Orlando Police Department, Weiser Security Services, Inc., FedEx, Lockheed Martin, McDonald’s, and many more. In addition, there will also be foreclosure workshops with one-on-one counseling sessions, information on job training and apprenticeship opportunities, an education resource fair, a senior resource fair, health care screenings, and a workshop provided by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on Haitian TPS re-designation.
