"I am pleased at the announcement that the economy has added 146,000 jobs; any positive economic news is something to celebrate, especially during the Holidays.  However, any progress made over the past few months will be immediately negated if the White House and Senate Democrats allow us to go off the Fiscal Cliff.  With less than a month until drastic tax hikes and severe spending cuts take effect, the President remains unserious about finding a solution.

“I have voted to extend tax relief to everyone while advocating for pro-growth tax reform and entitlement reform.  Raising taxes will destroy hundreds of thousands of jobs and turn our economy back in the wrong direction.  West Virginians deserve a serious solution that will put us on the path toward a stronger, more prosperous economy and country.”
