Lofgren Welcomes 2011 Art Competition Winner to Washington

Washington, D.C. – Today, Representative Zoe Lofgren (D-San Jose) welcomed Jessica Herrera, the 2011 Congressional Art Competition Winner for the 16th Congressional District, to Washington, DC for the unveiling of her painting in the Capitol complex. Ms. Herrera, a student at James Lick High School, travelled to Washington and joined hundreds of artists from across the country in the unveiling ceremony for Congressional Art Competition winners.

Ms. Herrera, a student at James Lick High School, travelled to Washington and joined hundreds of artists from across the country in the unveiling ceremony for Congressional Art Competition winners.

Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren is serving her ninth term in Congress representing most of the City of San Jose and Santa Clara County. Congresswoman Lofgren is Chair of the California Democratic Congressional Delegation consisting of 33 Democratic members of the U.S. House of Representatives from California.
