Lofgren Statement on Japanese Earthquake and Tsunami

Washington, D.C. – Today, Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-CA) released the following statementon the tragedy in Japan.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-CA) released the following statementon the tragedy in Japan.

In the aftermath of the tragic earthquake and tsunami in Japan, our thoughts and prayers go out to the Japanese people.During these dark days, the Japanese people need to know that they do not stand alone. America stands with you, first responders from all over the United States and U.S. military forces are already on scene assisting rescue efforts. Beyond that, we will continue to support our friends as they recover from this disaster.

For Americans living or traveling in Japan or for those worried about Americans who where in Japan during the devastating earthquake, the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo stands ready to assist you. Please follow the link to the State Department's website for further information.
