U.S. CONGRESSMAN JERRY COSTELLO OPPOSES ANY REDUCTIONS IN HOURS OF OPERATION AT KASKASKIA LOCK AND DAM
BELLEVILLE – U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) told Col. Christopher G. Hall, District Commander of the St. Louis District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, that he is strongly opposed to any reduction in the hours of operation at the Kaskaskia Lock and Dam.
Costello noted the significant impact the lock and dam has on the regional and national economy and urged the Corps of Engineers to take input from all affected stakeholders before making any decisions regarding changes to the hours of operations.
