(Washington, DC) –U.S. Senator Dean Heller (R-NV) today issued the following statement welcoming a 3.6 percent cost of living increase for seniors receiving Social Security benefits.

“Nevada’s seniors living on fixed incomes are having an especially difficult time making ends meet.  For the past two years, seniors have had to get by without any increase in their Social Security checks, and that’s not acceptable.  This adjustment will offer seniors some relief from the stress of continually trying to stretch their dollars to cover their everyday expenses,” said Senator Heller.
