Danville Office

 

Joe McLain
District Director

Joe serves as the Director of Community Liaison and is based in the Danville District Office.  Joe is responsible for attending events and visiting with constituents on behalf of Representative Rokita throughout the district.  He joined Representative Rokita’s staff after serving as Indiana’s Help America Vote Act Administrator under then Secretary of State Rokita where he assisted counties and the state in implementing the Act.  Joe is married and the father of two sons and baby daughter.

   

Teri Smith
Constituent Service Manager

A graduate of Marian University, Teri is a registered paralegal with 21 years experience.  Before joining Representative Rokita’s staff, she worked for a private Indianapolis law firm and later the Securities Division of the Indiana Secretary of State’s Office.  

   

Tony Will
Constituent Service Representative

Tony specializes in working with V.A. cases as well as immigration cases.  Anthony graduated from Indiana University with a major in Political Science and a minor in Mathematics.  When not working, Anthony enjoys being outdoors and camping as well as reading about economics and foreign policy.

Penny Titus
Community Liaison

Penny runs the Lafayette District office.  She has been married to Mike Titus for 31 years and they have a daughter, Lindsey, son-in-law, Nate and a four year old grandson Titus.  Penny has lived in Carroll County all of her life.

Sharyn Kersey
Community Liaison

Sharyn joined Representative Rokita’s staff after 30+ years as a small business owner.  She most recently served as Assistant to the Mayor in Martinsville.  She is married 34 years to Eric, Pastor of the United Methodist Church in Mitchell. They are the parents of one son, Major Adam Kersey who is Senior Defense Counsel, JAG Corps, at Ft. Benning, GA, and grandparents of Chloe, age 12, and Avery, 14 months.

   

Washington, DC Office

   

Tom Borck
Legislative Assistant

Born in Lafayette, IN and raised in the Midwest, Tom handles issues related to health care, veterans, transportation, energy and defense.  Prior to joining Representative Rokita’s staff, Tom worked in the private sector as a health care consultant.  Tom graduated from Cedarville University with a degree in political science.

   

Nancy Gutwein
Executive Assistant

Nancy is a native Hoosier and a graduate of Indiana State University where she majored in Social Science Education. She joined Rep. Rokita’s staff in January of 2009 during his second term as Indiana’s Secretary of State.

   

Lindley Kratovil
Legislative Director

Lindley is responsible for advising Representative Rokita on legislative and policy matters.  She oversees a team that works to execute the Representative’s legislative work including oversight of the Executive Branch. Previously, Lindley served in the Bush White House in several capacities, primarily in the office of legislative affairs.

   

Joel Miller
Staff Assistant/Tour Coordinator

Born and raised in the Midwest, Joel moved to Washington, DC, to study at George Mason Law. Prior to law school, Joel taught public high school for three years in his Ohio hometown. He graduated from Malone University with a degree in English.

   

Megan Savage
Legislative Counsel

Megan, a native Hoosier, handles the Red Tape Rollback initiative, Budget Committee, agriculture, judiciary, telecommunications, tax and trade issues.  Prior to joining Representative Rokita’s staff, Megan was a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in Marion County, Indiana. 

   

Corban Teague
Legislative Correspondent

Before joining Representative Rokita’s staff, Teague was Rokita’s first D.C. intern.  He currently attends law school part-time at George Mason University.  From North Carolina, he attended college at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, graduating with a double major in Political Science and Peace, War, and Defense.  

   

Mike Ward
Chief of Staff

Mike brings over a decade of Capitol Hill experience to the office.  Mike began his career in state politics in his native Connecticut and has served in senior legislative and management roles for several Members of Congress.  Most recently he served as Legislative Director for House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rogers.  Mike is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Georgetown University.  He and his wife live in Virginia with their two sons.
