Van Hollen (MD), #1, would replace the entire sequester for 2013 – which would cause deep cuts to important domestic priorities and defense, and even cut Medicare -- with savings from specific policies that reflect a balanced approach to deficit reduction. Would protect our most vulnerable citizens, asks those earning over $1 million per year to contribute more, eliminates Agriculture direct payments, and cuts subsidies for Big Oil. Defeated: 3–8
