The Committee on Rules filed its Survey of Activities for the first session of the 112th Congress on June 29, 2012. This report contains a complete listing of the Committee's activities to date, as well as statistical, historical, and other background information.

The Committee on Rules' Subcommittee on Legislative and Budget Process held a hearing on H.R. 114, the Biennial Budgeting and Appropriations Act of 2011 on January 24, 2012. This publication includes a transcript of those proceedings, as well as statements submitted for the record by Members and wittnesses alike.

The Committee on Rules filed its Survey of Activities for the first session of the 112th Congress on December 30, 2011. This report contains a complete listing of the Committee's activities to date, as well as statistical, historical, and other background information.

The Committee on Rules today published the complilation of rules adopted by the standing, select, and joint committees for the 112th Congress. 

This is the Survey of Activities for the first quarter, which covers the 112th Congress from January 2011 through May 2011.  

The House is scheduled to begin consideration of appropriation measures under an "open" amendment process.  In light of the length of the time since the House last considered an appropriations bill under an open process, along with recent rule changes, this document is intended to assist Members and their staff with questions that could arise as offices consider whether to draft amendments and in what form.

 The House is scheduled to consider the continuing resolution during the week of February 14, 2011. This will be the first general appropriations bill likely to be considered by the House under an open process in several years and perhaps the only continuing resolution ever considered that way.
