ARMY PURCHASING 11 AIRCRAFT RESCUE FIRE FIGHTING VEHICLES

Washington, Mar 31, 2009 - “The Defense Logistics Agency has awarded a contract for $6,106,375 to E-One of Ocala for the purchase of 11 Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting Vehicles,” said Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-Ocala). “The agency received three proposals for the vehicles and E-One was selected to provide these emergency vehicles for the Multi-National Forces operating in Iraq. This is good news for the Ocala area and I commend E-One for winning this contract.”

E-One is a leading manufacturer of first-responder and emergency vehicles with over 23,000 fire rescue vehicles in operation around the world. Headquartered in Ocala, E-One was established in 1974 and now employs more than 900 people in five plants. This contract for 11 vehicles runs through July of 2011.
