Dreier Congratulates Arcadia High School on First Place Finish in National Constitution Competition
WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman David Dreier (R-San Dimas, CA) offered congratulations today to the Arcadia High School (AHS) Constitution team for their first place finish in the 23rd annual contest, “We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution,” which was held in Washington, D.C. this past weekend, concluding last night. The AHS team represented the entire state of California in the competition, which tests students’ knowledge of the U.S. Constitution and our nation’s founding documents. Dreier, who met with the AHS team before the competition began, said he was impressed with their expertise and enthusiasm.
“Enthusiastic congratulations are in order for the Arcadia High Constitution team and their coaches for their exciting win in the We the People competition,” Dreier said. “After spending time with this outstanding group of students last week, I was confident they would take their knowledge of and dedication to learning about the Constitution and turn it into a great win for Arcadia and California. Winning this nationwide competition is a tremendous accomplishment. The City of Arcadia and the entire San Gabriel Valley should be very proud of these outstanding students.”
