DOES THE IRS OWE YOU MONEY?

Every year thousands of people do not receive their tax refund from the IRS due to a change of address or a change of name.  In some cases, the individual is not expecting the return because it is due to an accounting error in their favor that the IRS discovered on the tax return.

Check the list below to see if you or someone you know is one of those individuals.  The list can be checked by zip code.  Be sure to check not only your current zip code, but past addresses as well.  If you find your name, call the IRS at (800) 829-1040, or print and follow the directions on IRS Form 3911 to claim the refund.  It’s a simple process that makes sure you, and not the IRS, gets to keep your money.
