The Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance

The Catalog of Federal Assistance is an online catalog of all Federal funding opportunities available to States, municipalities, and non-profit organizations.

Grants.gov

Grants.gov is the Federal Government’s central website to applying for Federal funding. The site provides information on over 1,000 grant programs. Applicants can register on the website to receive email notices of funding opportunities as they are made public in the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance.

USA.gov

Provides helpful information on grants, loans, and other assistance offered by Federal agencies, including resources needed to manage, sustain and operate a non-profit.

The Foundation Center

The Foundation Center is a national nonprofit service organization recognized as the nation’s leading authority on organized philanthropy, connecting nonprofits with grant-makers, and providing the tools they can use and information they can trust.

Connecticut Resources

Hartford Foundation for Public Giving

A resource for the local charitable community, including donors, community leaders, and nonprofit organizations of all types and sizes.  They bring together both human and financial resources to strengthen communities.

Connecticut Council for Philanthropy

A nonprofit association of grant-makers, committed to promoting and supporting effective philanthropy for the public good.  This is a resource for networking, news and information on grants and philanthropy in Connecticut.

Connecticut Innovations

Provides strategic capital and operational insight to drive the frontiers of high-tech industries such as energy, biotechnology, information technology and photonics.  They are undertaking statewide efforts to provide state residents with clean energy alternatives through the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund.

Connecticut Health and Education Facilities Authority

Assists Connecticut’s nonprofit institutions with access to low cost financing in the public municipal markets.  Hospitals, institutions of higher education, independent schools, childcare providers, cultural institutions, and human service providers have benefited from financing through CHEFA.
