Fun Facts:

1. Stoneham is the location of the famous Stone Zoo, a private zoo founded in 1905.

2. The Fells is a 2,000 acre natural treasure with a long and varied cultural history and is the home to a range of habitat that sustains a variety of wildlife and before colonial times was the residence of Native Americans. The Fells became a major land area to Stoneham, after it was incorporated as a town in 1725.

3. Champion figure skater Nancy Kerrigan grew up in Stoneham. Nancy won U.S. ladies title in 1993., a bronze medal and a sliver medal in the World Championship competitions in 1991 and 1992, and she went on to win the bronze medal at the 1992 Olympic Winter Games.
