WALDORF, MD – Today, Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-5) toured the Charles County Children’s Aid Society and delivered toys for their annual Christmas Connection, which helps provide children in need with Christmas toys and gifts.

“Christmas Connection is a wonderful program that makes a difference for thousands of children in our community during the holidays,” stated Congressman Hoyer. “I’d like to thank all of the Christmas Connection volunteers for making this program possible, and Fifth District residents for their generosity this holiday season. There is still time to donate, and I encourage others to consider donating a new, unwrapped toy, clothing, or other gifts to families in need.”

Christmas Connection, which is run by the Charles County Children’s Aid Society and the Charles County Department of Social Services, provides toys for about 3,000

children-in-need during the holiday season. The program is currently collecting new, unwrapped toys for children between the ages of newborn to 18-years-old. A list of locations to drop off toys and gifts is attached. Gift distribution is December 17th through December 21st. The Charles County Children’s Aid Society also accepts clothing and food donations. Please click here for more information.
